Our Story

Most of what we buy today is quick, convenient—and forgettable. But the things that stay with us are different. They carry meaning, they last longer, and they make our everyday lives healthier and warmer. That’s what Indian crafts have always done. Brass that ages beautifully with use. Cotton that breathes through the seasons.

And that’s only the beginning. From natural fibers like jute, rattan, seagrass, and cotton shaped into baskets, rugs, and textiles, to intricate arts like Madhubani, Kalamkari, and Rajputana paintings, to sculptural crafts and textiles such as Bidriware, pottery, wood carvings, Zardozi embroidery, Patola sarees, Kutch embroidery, and handwoven silks—India’s traditions aren’t just decorative, they’re ways of living; they’re rituals and solutions that have served humanity for centuries.

Bulky Santa was created to bring that wisdom back into daily life. We curate home décor, gifting, and pooja essentials that are thoughtful, premium, and rooted in heritage. Each collection is designed to feel whole—something you can use and live with, not just admire on a shelf.

Our purpose is simple: to keep Indian handicrafts alive as part of modern living. Not just as memories of the past, but as meaningful choices for today. We work directly with artisans who have been doing this for generations so their skills continue to thrive, while giving you conscious alternatives to mass-made products.

This idea originated with our founder, Swati. Growing up in a Rajasthani family and in the old lanes of Delhi, she was surrounded by traditions that never felt outdated. Her curiosity led her from haats and emporiums to trade fairs all around India, where she discovered both the struggles and the brilliance of artisans. What she realized was that the crafts weren’t the problem—the way they were presented was. They needed to be woven into modern life in ways people could easily embrace.

That’s how this vision came to life: as a home for crafts that are good for you, good for the people who make them, and thoughtful towards the planet we all share.

We’re still learning and improving—but the products themselves have always stayed true: authentic, natural at their core, and designed to enrich your life.

And the name? Bulky Santa = the generous giver of Indian heritage. A “bulky” treasure trove of handcrafted traditions, delivered with joy and abundance like Santa himself. It began with our early work in bulk gifting, and the name stayed, because it still reflects our values of giving, abundance, and thoughtfulness.

That is what makes Bulky Santa:
The Heartbeat of Indian Heritage

Remember That First Sip? (The Sound of Home)

This set is more than a cup; it's a time machine. Think back to a lazy Sunday morning, the smell of fresh decoction filling the house, and the distinct sound of the coffee being poured back and forth. That's the Brass Dabara experience. It carries the weight of tradition. Holding this heavy, warm tumbler isn't just a physical act—it's connecting you back to those moments, that comfort, and that perfect, frothy cup. It simply feels like home.

  • Hot cup of Kaapi Coffee Dabra Set

    It Stays Hot

Our heavier, premium brass holds heat far better than ceramic. Your Filter Coffee is piping hot until the very last, satisfying drop

  • Hands comfortabaly holding Brass Dabara Set, Dabara Coffee Set - a south Indian famous coffee set

    It Feels Right

Notice the substantial, satisfying weight in your hand. This is the specimen of what you could call a genuine, handcrafted heirloom.

  • Coffee is pouring from Brass Cup to Brass Tumbler in Brass Davara Set

    Perfect Froth

The tumbler's height and the bowl's width are engineered to give you the perfect pour (aatu), guaranteeing that beautiful head of froth your Kaapi deserves.

Let’s Talk About That Dark Spot (It’s a Feature, Not a Flaw)

Brass changes. It’s natural, and it’s a sign of authenticity. Over time, your Brass Dabara Set will develop a unique, dark patina (tarnish) where it’s handled most. This is not a defect; it's the metal's unique story. It tells you your set is a genuine, living piece of metalware.

Care Instructions

The Easiest Way to Keep the Shine

Taking care of your brass is surprisingly simple. You don't need expensive polishes or complicated routines.

Daily Clean: Wash immediately after use with mild soap and dry completely.

The Shine Trick: To naturally restore the original luster, simply rub the set with a slice of lemon dipped in salt, or a dab of tamarind paste. Rinse and dry. That's it.

The Bottom Line: Don't put it in the dishwasher. You wouldn’t put a family antique in there, right?

This is a One-Time Purchase

In a world full of disposable cups, this is the anchor piece. Because it’s made from solid, heirloom quality brass, it won't chip, shatter, or wear out. This isn't just for your lifetime—it’s the kind of piece you’ll be proud to pass down. When you buy this set, you're done shopping for coffee cups. Consider it a permanent upgrade.

The Two piece Morning Ritual

The Dabara is the wide bowl. The Tumbler is the cup. You pour the coffee back and forth between the two to cool it just enough and create that signature froth. The bowl catches any overflow, and its wide lip is designed to help you enjoy the coffee’s aroma before you even take a sip. It’s a perfect design, perfected over centuries.

The Perfect Gift for a Coffee Lover

Everyone knows a coffee fanatic, but what do you get the person who has everything? The Brass Dabara Set is the answer. It's unique, instantly tells a story, and is something they genuinely need for an authentic experience. No guessing their size, no batteries required—just a beautiful, heirloom quality gift that says, 'I thought of you.' We even box it beautifully so you don't have to worry about the presentation

Why Brass?

Our ancestors chose brass for a reason that goes beyond its beauty. Historically, traditional cultures valued brassware for its natural properties. We aren't making any grand health claims, but we believe in the purity of the material and the simple act of slowing down your morning with a piece of natural metal. It’s a small, daily step toward a more mindful and traditional way of living.

Why choose Bulkysanta

The tumblers sit on a textured, off-white cotton mat. Soft, golden morning light creates a long, subtle shadow and highlights the metal's patina and the arc of the water. Serene, high-detail, mindful ritual photography, wabi-sabi aesthetic, no faces
